Time flies

Oh geez, where does the time go?? Ok I know exactly where it goes. Kelly got a new calling, so now I don't see him twice as much. Some of you may laugh, when you hear that he was called to be the 2nd counselor in the bishopric. I did. I guess the Lord knows things we don't . Kel has already stepped up to the job, I know he will do great. Also I was recently called to be the Primary secretary a week after the baby was born. What a cruel joke, just kidding, I enjoy this one, and the women I serve with are patient with my constant forgetfulness.


The other thing that I like to do when I'm not taking care of the little ones, is spending every spare moment I have out into the yard, to work on my green thumb. I say that because my green thumb is not very good out here. It seems mostly brown, it takes a lot of coaxing to get things to grow in this crazy climate. Water restrictions aren't helping either. I don't know how many wheelbarrows of sand I have hauled out in the last year, only to fill it back up with good dirt and amendments. Probably close to 100, no joke. I recently splurged and bought myself a composting machine thingy. I was so excited. I know it's not a new pair of shoes or purse like normal girls get excited over, but then, I'm wierd!



Lily is now 2 months old, so I should post some pics... here are a few:






Ivy still loves her sister an awfully lot. She never seems to stop wanting to give her hugs and kisses. I get this look quite often. I imagine she's thinking "mom, what are you doing?"

So, a few weeks ago I was feeling sorry for myself because I didn't have any decent pictures with my dear little one. I didn't want to go to wal-mart and get the run of the mill cheap pictures, nor had I hundreds of dollars to get professionals. As you can see my plight, I continued to whine to myself for a few days, until a sweet friend of mine came over to bring me dinner, and offered out of the blue to take a few pictures. Little did she know how much I've been wanting this. She claimed to be an amatuer just wanting to come and play around, but I think that she did an absolutely wonderful job, and answered my prayers. I am posting only a few of my favorites, it was so hard to pick. Enjoy.
