pumpkin patch

This is one of my favorite seasons. It excites me to see the colors change, and along with that, the harvesting. We planted pumpkin seeds in our backyard, and had nice big plants, but for some reason or another we only got about 5 pumpkins. This was kind of depressing since we worked so hard....Luckily for us though we got the chance to go to the pumpkin patch with our little preschool group. And this one was a special one, Venitucci Farms. It was owned by a kind old man, who passed away this year, who had such a kind heart that he would give every child that visited his farm a pumpkin of their very own. In past years, the amount was somewhere around 20,000 pumpkins. That's a lot of happy children because of him. We were sad to hear he is gone. There were only about 5,000 pumpkins this year to give away, and luckily we were able to receive one. We thank you Mr. Venitucci, and hope your legacy lives on....
Every time I asked her to pose for the camera, she insisted on sitting on the pumpkin.
Brielle is always eager to smile for the camera. Sorry there are no pics of Kyrie, she went to a different pumpkin patch with her school, and of course I forgot my camera.

That picture of her holding the pumpkin by her face should be sent to that mans family. :-) She looks so happy to have her pumpkin. :-)

Wonderful pictures! I need to be better about carrying my camera with me. And I agree with christie, I think a picture to the Mr. V's family would be great.

How fun!! We went to a local pumpkin patch last night too. I dont' have the pics off of my camera yet but they will be soon. If my computer can handle them, the hard drive is almost full, maybe a new computer is in order for christmas! Pumpkin patches are soo fun, and you're right about all of the colors. Love you!

That looks like fun! I too love fall time. When the weather turns to 80 and you have to wear a light sweater in the morning! :( Fall here stinks, but then it turns to winter and while all you snowbunnies freeze your cottonballs off we will be golfing. So I may be green with envy now, but that will all change soon enough! Cute pics by the way. Oh! and I am patiently awaiting some cooler temps so that I can make that amazing sweet potato currie thing that we made in Vegas. YUMMO!

Brielle is so crazy cute. I never really noticed things like this before, but you have her hair done so cute with the adorable flower clips and all. What a doll. I'm glad you're loving fall. It is a beautiful time of year. We love you!
