More than my weight in dirt....

A few days ago we got a dump truck load of dirt, and well, I can honestly say that I haven't been this exhausted for quite a while. Previous to this little delivery, I have spent countless days leveling, weeding, separating, and countless other outdoor cleaning activities, so we can get ready to lay
sod in our back yard. Why so much dirt? you say? Well, I guess there is a little too much sand out here, and countless of our neighbors have actually had to rip out dead grass, and start over with a good layer of dirt. Lucky for us, we didn't have to learn this the hard way! And you all will be shocked, we've actually met a lot of our neighbors(thanks to Brielle, she walks right up to everyone and starts chatting so I'm basically forced to meet others. That's a good thing!) and they have given us some good pointers on how to escape this downfall. Everyone also finds out that Kel works for Carmax, and just can't help asking him the 2o questions.
So as you can imagine I have had plenty of trips back and forth to the back yard. And also a couple of dirty little kids. But it's ok, I'm getting a good workout! Who knew composted manure could be so much fun?

What a fun play hill for your girls. I know what you mean by meeting people because of your kids. I meet people in the neighborhood who say, "Oh, your Alec's mom." I think he's met and talked to everyone on our block. Good for you meeting new friends. It'll make the transition easier.

Ugh. I remember dirt hills at my house growing up. We were always so dirty. Good luck!

Man, that is a lot of work. I don't know how I would feel about days of playing in dirt. One day.. Okay... many? I don't know about that.
